Tucked away on our family's 130 acre farm in the heart of Boone County, West Virginia, The Back 40 is where the trails meet tranquility. The Boone Docks is located just 3 miles from The Big Coal River Trailhead and 12 miles from The Ivy Branch Trailhead, both fantastic trails on the Hatfield McCoy trail system. Also in our neck of the woods you will find an Almost Heaven swing at the beautiful Drawdy Falls. We are also a 30 minute trailer from Tornado Single Trax. The Boone Docks is the kind of place you didn't think existed anymore. We cherish the simpler times. It's where the coffee tastes a little better and time moves just a little slower. After a full day on the trails we have just what you need to relax and unwind. Whether you are here to ride the Hatfield-McCoy Trails or just relax in a cozy cabin The Back 40 is your basecamp for connection- to the land, to each other, and to what really matters. Over on The Back 40 we offer 3 different 1 bedroom cabins that are side by side with space for parking. We are a stones throw from the NEW Big Coal River trail and just a short 12 mile ride to Ivy Branch. Tornado Trax is also just a 30 minute trailer away.
